ALCAZAR ALE A splendid pale ale, full flavoured, with a fresh, pleasant aroma and crisp, dry, hoppy after taste. NOTTINGHAM NOG A traditional session ale, amber in colour, with full bodied malt flavour and mild hop finish. (Please note Nottingham Nog is what we call a `regular occasional` and therefore is not always available. NEW DAWN A refreshing pale ale brewed with cascade hops, having pleasant floral aroma and light hoppy after taste. FOXTALE ALE Our classic bitter, amber in colour, with a malt - sweet edge to start and a full dry hop flavour at the end. (Also known as Brush Bitter in our brewery tap, The Fox & Crown) VIXEN`S VICE A pale strong ale with well rounded hop flavour and fresh hop finish. WINDJAMMER IPA ‘Windjammer’ is a generic name for a large and fast merchant sailing ship, a type that would have been employed to transport goods, including casks of ale, to India in the late 18th & early 19th centuries. This is a full bodied India Pale Ale, brewed with five varieties of North American hops; smooth and sweet on the palate, with pleasant aroma and crisp hop finish. Silver medal winner at the January 2004 SIBA East Midlands competition. BOMBAY CASTLE IPA The `Bombay Castle` was a 1200 ton merchant ship owned by the British East India Company and which plied the waters between Britain and India from 1792 to 1804. It no doubt carried consignments of precious India Pale Ale to the colony. Brewed with Maris Otter pale malt and liberal quantities of English hops, this is a traditional English-style India Pale Ale. Available in cask at the Fox & Crown Nov & Dec. 2006. Silver medal winner at the 2005 SIBA East Midlands competition. Gold medal winner at the 2006 SIBA East Midlands competition. |

BLACK FOX A traditional dark mild, brewed in spring time. DESERT FOX A cask conditioned lager, brewed for the summer months and served extra cold. MAPLE MAGIC A festive porter for the winter months, brewed with real maple syrup. WINNER OF GOLD MEDAL IN 2004 SIBA COMPETITION. MOCHA STOUT A rich, full-bodied stout with unique essence of coffee & chocolate. Smoothly satisfying! Available on draught and in bottles. |
